Opportunities

The Trust works closely with schools and students in original ways that are heritage- and site-focused and thus complementary to formal education. We specialise in the co-production of workshops and content for education events; please talk to us if there is a theme you would like to explore.

We are currently working on a Careers in Heritage workshop for young people who are thinking about entering this field, but who may not be fully aware of the different kinds of opportunities that are available or how to approach them. Watch our Special Events page for details.

We engage in outreach. Although Blackden itself is one small township, it has also become a distributed community of distinguished historians, scientists, archaeologists and artists across Cheshire and around Britain. Given notice, we are glad to arrange for members of this community to visit schools and societies as speakers, to talk about Blackden and its history.
